This Privacy Policy describes how Ahead4therapy protects and makes use of the information supplied to us.  The information submitted by Clients and Therapists will only be used in the way set out in this privacy statement.

We need to ask for certain information to enable us to work safely and effectively with Clients and Therapists and to enable the efficient dissemination of appointment reminders and invoicing.

To ensure our therapists can work safely and effectively with clients that come through our website.
To ensure our therapists are compliant with legislation on privacy policies and data control.

Controlling Information about you

Any personal information we hold about clients and/or Therapists is stored in line with the Data Protection Act 1998, and the General Data Regulation adopted on 27th April 2016 and enforceable from 25th May 2018.

This data will be kept for the lifetime of your status as a client or therapist through Ahead4therapy and then for one year after.

Security

Information will be held securely.
No clients’ information is shared with third parties, only the therapists that you have requested to make contact with.
All data that has been gathered via the ahead4therapy website is held electronically.
Therapists data and copied documents are kept in a locked filing cabinet.

Data Accuracy

Therapists are requested to inform Ahead4therapy any changes to information relevant to working within Ahead4therapy to ensure records are kept up to date.

Subject Access Requests

All individuals who are subject of personal data held by Ahead4therapy are entitled to:

Ask what information is held and why
Ask how to gain access to it

If a Client or Therapist would like to request a copy of the data held about them by Ahead4therapy this can be done by making a written request to Diane Warburton, Ahead4therapy, 8 Abbey Meads Village Centre, Swindon SN25 4YX.  Data will be supplied within one month subject to normal conditions.  Data will not be released to third parties.

Information given directly to our therapists.

Once a client has made contact with a Therapist found through Ahead4therapy, the responsibility to conform to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) with any further personal information is the responsibility of the individual Therapist and not Ahead4therapy.
