I am a qualified Integrative counsellor registered by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Registered Member MBACP).  I have a private practice in North Swindon offering short and long term counselling for individuals.

We can all go through difficult times and experience painful emotions. Sometimes we can resolve difficulties by talking with friends and family. However, this may not always be possible and you might feel stuck, isolated, confused or overwhelmed. It is at times like these that it can be helpful to seek support from a therapist who can provide a safe and confidential space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences.

Clients usually come to me when they wish to change something in their lives or simply explore thoughts and feelings in more depth.  My role as a counsellor is to help you through this process without telling you what to do but by facilitating you to make your own changes.  Working collaboratively can help you make sense of what you are feeling and why, can give you a deeper understanding of yourself, helping you find new ways to cope and make the best possible choices for you.

I work in a compassionate, non-judgemental and respectful way with clients from all walks of life on a wide range of psychological and emotional issues.  These include anxiety and panic attacks, depression, loneliness, difficulty expressing feelings, anger, coping with chronic illness, bereavement, psychosis, divorce and relationships, eating disorders, low mood, low self-esteem and trauma.

Key to the success of the counselling experience is the relationship we are able to build together.  For this reason, I offer a free initial consultation as an opportunity for us to meet and for you to ask any questions you might have and to be sure you feel comfortable moving forward together.

Please get in touch if you feel I can help you move forward in your life.

I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and regularly attend CPD events to keep abreast of training and development. I have an enhanced DBS statement in working with young people.

I am a registered member of the BACP.  I abide by the BACP guidelines for ethical and professional conduct.

In addition to my private work I have worked in the charitable sector as a counsellor with the MS Therapy Centre in Swindon working with clients with chronic illness and with IPSUM in Swindon (low cost counselling and art and music therapy).  I spent 3 years working with 14 to 19 year olds through Swindon Council’s youth counselling service, Ontrak and I have also worked in a Swindon school counselling service.

My work is fully insured and supervised by an experienced BACP therapist.

Individuals: £50 per weekly session of 50 minutes.  Initial session free of charge
